2.1 Registration and Voice Onboarding Information
When you create a Known account, you provide information through our voice onboarding process and AI interface necessary to offer our Services:
- Basic identifying information (name, date of birth, gender, email address, phone number)
- Login information (as applicable)
- Voice recordings and voice-derived data from the onboarding process
- Demographic information and dating preferences shared verbally or via AI interaction
- Optional profile information (education, occupation, interests, etc.)
- Device information and location data (when enabled)
- Payment information (if applicable)
Since our primary interface is conversational, most profile data is stored in our AI-driven database. To review or request changes, you may contact customer support. You are responsible for keeping your information accurate and up to date.
2.2 Information Generated Through Use of Our Services
Using our Services generates information that we collect, including:
- Voice data and transcripts from AI interactions
- Usage data (commands, preferences, conversation patterns)
- Device information (IP address, device type, operating system, browser type)
- Log data (session times, topics, referring/exit pages)
- Location data (when enabled)
- Communications (interactions with AI and other users)
- Transaction information (purchases, subscriptions, billing details)
2.3 Information from Third Parties and External Sources
We may collect information from:
- Social media accounts you mention
- Professional platforms like LinkedIn, to enhance profile and matching
- Public websites (education, job history, etc.)
- Business partners, ad networks, and analytics providers
- Other users (e.g., reports, feedback)
This data is used to improve your experience and enhance match quality.

3.1 AI-Generated Content and Matching
Known uses AI to generate profiles, insights, and matches. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may be imprecise or reflect bias.
You understand and accept that:
- We do not guarantee the accuracy or appropriateness of AI output.
- You assume responsibility for acting on AI recommendations.
- AI results may sometimes reflect unexpected or incomplete content.
4. SHARING YOUR INFORMATION
4.1 With Other Users
Your AI-generated profile and preferences may be shared in limited form with potential matches. Since profiles are derived through conversation, you do not manage them manually.
4.2 With Service Providers and Partners
We may share your information with trusted third parties, including:

- Payment processors
- Analytics vendors
- Security and fraud prevention partners
- Customer support services
- Vendors providing services for users such as restaurant booking
These providers are contractually obligated to use your data only as directed by us.

- Request deletion of any personal information we hold that originated from a third party. Opt out of further collection of data from third-party sources.
6.4 Voice Data & AI Transcripts
We collect voice recordings when you use voice-enabled features of our AI matchmaker. You have the right to:
- Access your AI voice transcripts at any time.
- Request deletion of your voice recordings.
- Opt out of having your voice data used for training or improvement of our AI models.
6.5 Biometric Information (California & Illinois)
For California residents, voice recordings are treated as “sensitive personal information ” under CCPA/CPRA. You can request access, deletion, or opt out of sharing this data at any time. For Illinois residents, “voiceprints” qualify as biometric identifiers under BIPA (740 ILCS 14/10). By enabling our voice features, you provide written consent (as required by Illinois law) for us to collect, store, and use your voiceprints for AI matching and personalization. We will retain biometric data only as long as necessary and will permanently delete it upon your request or when it is no longer needed for its original purpose.

7. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Your data may be transferred to countries with different privacy laws. We use safeguards, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your data during international transfers.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Our Services are for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a user is under 18, report them to info@knowndating.com.
9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this policy periodically. Updates will be posted on this page and, if material, sent via email or product notification. Check the “Last Updated” date to stay informed.
10. LIABILITY LIMITATIONS AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
10.1 Security Acknowledgement
We implement safeguards but cannot guarantee absolute security. Transmission of data is at your own risk.
10.2 Third-Party Services
We are not responsible for third-party services linked from our platform. Review their privacy policies separately.
10.3 Data Breach Limitation of Liability
In case of breach:

- We will mitigate the effects and cooperate with regulators
- Liability is limited to the extent permitted by law
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

13. DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND ARBITRATION
Disputes must be resolved through binding arbitration in San Francisco County, CA, under AAA rules.
- You waive jury trial and class action rights
- Injunctive relief for IP/data misuse is exempted
- This clause does not apply where prohibited by law
14. CHANGE OF CONTROL
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your personal information may be transferred to the new entity as part of that transaction. The new owner will be required to honor this Privacy Policy or provide notice if there are material changes. You can request deletion of your data at any time, including before the transaction closes, by following the instructions in the “Your Rights” section.
